Sweet Potatoes with Tart Apples and Pecans

5 sweet potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
5 tart apples, peeled and thinly sliced
Salt
Nutmeg
¼ cup brown sugar
1 cup butter, melted
Juice of one lemon
1 cup chopped pecans

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2. In a shallow casserole dish, alternate layers of sweet potatoes and apples with a sprinkle of salt, nutmeg, brown sugar, melted butter, and lemon juice on each layer. Top the last layer with the chopped pecans.

3. Place casserole into preheated oven for 40 minutes or until tender. Serve immediately. Enjoy!
